Some work asks to be undertaken in company. Soul Metaphors is developing carefully bounded group journeys in which story, image, embodied reflection and conversation create a field of shared discovery.
The first offering
The first substantial group journey in development enters the ancient story of Gilgamesh and Enkidu as a doorway into masculine identity, companionship, power, grief and mortality.
The myth provides the ground; contemporary life provides the question. Participants will not be told what the story means. Through mythic telling, facilitated inquiry and creative process, each man will be invited to discover where the epic meets the life he is living.

A twelve-week closed journey for men through companionship, civilisation and wildness, power and responsibility, grief, mortality and the long search for wisdom.

This space is intentionally left open. Soul Metaphors will not announce an offering before it has found the form capable of holding it.

These gatherings are intended to be participatory rather than presentational. Depending upon the offering, a meeting may include story, drawing, reflective writing, simple self-directed movement, personal inquiry and carefully held conversation.
All creative and embodied invitations are optional, self-directed and non-contact. The interpretation of an image, symbol or experience remains with the person who created or encountered it.
Each program will state clearly whether it is educational, experiential or therapeutic, who it is for, what preparation is required and where its professional limits lie.
